Position Summary:
The Merchandise Handler performs all necessary warehouse tasks pertaining to, but not limited to receiving, picking, replenishment, packing and shipment of finished goods in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity.

The Merchandise Handler II is responsible for assigned sub-functions, such as key accounts orders processing, replenishment, direct to consumer order processing, etc.

The Merchandise Handler II is accountable for the performance of their assigned sub-function in meeting DC and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible & authorized to perform the following duties in accordance with BD Quality Policy and procedures, BD Policy Guidelines, and BD Safety procedures:

    • Responsible for receiving, picking, packing and shipping merchandise in accordance with DC procedures. 
    • Responsible for the quality and accuracy of completed work.

    • Accountable for the performance of assigned sub-function.

    • Meet or exceed output and productivity goals as defined by the DC Management.

    • Assist with routine cycle counting and physical inventory counts as directed by DC Management.

    • Conduct operations in compliance with applicable regulatory standards and in congruence with the vision and values of Black Diamond.

    • Maintain a clean, well-organized work environment to enhance safety and increase employee productivity.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

General physical requirements: Medium to heavy work

Visual acuity requirements:  Close, color, depth perception, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus

Motion and sensory requirementsClimbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping

Education

Required:

High school diploma or GED

 

 

 

Work Experience

Required:

Four months experience picking/packing/shipping

customer orders in a warehouse environment

 

 

Preferred:

Six months experience within the Black Diamond, Inc.

warehouse.
